WILLORE PHARMA CORPORATION was founded on July 7, 2005. National Conference together with product launching was held at Loreland Farm Resort last July 7-10, 2023 to celebrate its 18th year anniversary in the pharmaceutical industry. Five years after pandemic, this is the first that the company celebrated and gather together in this memorable occasion. Thanks to our Leaders who made this event possible. All Willore employees, old and new, from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao flew to Manila to witness and join in this 4-day activity. Program of activities were prepared for everybody’s enjoyment and respite, and at the same time gain knowledge on BOSH, BLS and the new product to be launched.

Picture taking while waiting for the participants…
BASIC OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HAZARDOUS SEMINAR (BOSH) BOSH is a mandatory training required by DOLE discussed by the VP-Admin Mr. Claude Orejola. AMAZING RACE

Willore Pharma employees were divided into 4 groups. Amazing Race was the activity’s name wherein each group must find their team names. They must find clues in each stop hidden in the most unexpected place within the resort that will lead them for their next destination. Thus, created the team names of Team HONESTY, Team HARDWORK, Team HUMILITY, and Team HOLINESS.
First Stop (BONFIRE AREA)
The organizers gave each Team the MAP of the venue.

First clue: “Maglaro ng parang bata, at hanapin ang sunod na clue”. All participants quickly went to the Playground.

Second Stop (PLAYGROUND)

The teams started looking for the second clue that says: “Kumain ng pampagana (Chocolate). Si ate ang susi. Haranahin at hingin ang clue”.

Based on the clue, some of the team members rushed to the restaurant while others went to the convenience store hoping to find “Ate”. On the restaurant, they ate Choc-Nut and sang a song to “Ate” in exchanged for the clue.
Third Stop (RESTAURANT)

Ate, our accomplice must act as if she doesn’t know where the clue was. She will only give the clue once the team approached her with a song and finished eating the choc-nut. Clue given states “May malaking puso na magpapaibig sau. Mag picture. Naroon ang clue sa susunod na destinasyon.” Unfortunately, there were two big hearts located in the area. The teams were divided in which heart to proceed.

Fourth Stop (BIG HEART)
There were teams who found the clue easily and went to the Right HEART.

From there, the clue they found says “Magdasal at hanapin ang meaning o sagot sa tanong.” When the teams got the paper with meanings, they quickly went to chapel.

They got : "as we shall strive to keep ourselves always in a state of moral and spiritual perfection." - TEAM HOLINESS

They got : "...as we shall mark our successes, free from pride and arrogance." - TEAM HUMILITY

They got “...as we shall be Fair, Truthful, Straightforward, and Sincere in our dealings with all stakeholders: the Patient, the Doctor, the Business Partners, the Government, the Employees and the Shareholders.” - TEAM HONESTY

They got: "...as we shall do our job more than our best, in the pursuit of our goals." - TEAM HARDWORK
After they got their TEAM names, they headed back to the Bonfire area to get their tags. Back to Bonfire Area… And finally, they have their team Names, introducing…

TEAM HUMILITY (Purple)

TEAM HOLINESS (Orange)

TEAM HARDWORK (Green)

TEAM HONESTY (Red)
After getting their team names and tags, amazing race is not yet done. Games were conducted to cap the afternoon fun - Balloon caterpillar, Pass the Gawgaw, and Blow the balloon to transfer the cups.

One of the highlights. Gladys on the left full of gawgaw. Warren on the top image blowing the balloon.

Everybody seems to enjoy each game.
BONFIRE Activity

After dinner, everyone is gathered at the Bonfire area with some drinks, snacks, hotdogs and marshmallows to grill. This was the time of getting to know each other since there were new faces & new members of Willore Family. Before introducing their selves, everybody should first drink TUBA (coconut wine) and dance.

The Office team enjoying the Bonfire.

Cocktail drinks were also served to have the chit chat more relaxing. And so, the first night ended.
ZUMBA TIME
Zumba 6am call time.

Everyone was gathered at the activity area to do the first activity – ZUMBA. Everybody danced and groove to the music prepared and headed by Zumba instructors for the day – Ms. Alchie Tancontian and

Arieza Recinte. This activity was done to prepare everyone for the team building.
TEAM BUILDING

Getting ready for team building
The Team Building started with opening remarks and motivational talk from our president Mr. Guillermo Agpalo Jr.

This activity showcased the camaraderie and sportsmanship of everyone. The battle cry for this activity is to promote COOPERATION and TEAMWORK within the employees where the TEAM stands as “Together Everybody Achieves More”. The activity was held at Camptipolo Adventure Land, situated within the Loreland Farm Resort, a haven for leisure and adventure seekers, where various activities are at arm’s reach for everyone to enjoy the bounty of nature and experience outdoor at its best. Introducing our organizers for the Team building activity.

Insert Ms Evan
Before heading to the Camptipolo area, everyone must experience the 490-steps. Challenging steps like the spiral stairs and ascending trail were faced by the participants going down to the activity area but of course with a nice view of nature.

The participants were instructed to do the Willore’s clap. (I hope that everybody still remembers it.) After that, each team must introduce their selves with their team chant.

Aja! Aja! Team Holiness!
Go Go Team Hardwork!
Team Honesty -
Go Go Go Team Humility!

First activity was Hunter, Rabbit, Wall. This activity was planned carefully by the life skills team to bring out the sharpness, alertness, and the team player in each member. The game aims to improve your sharpness and presence of mind. The participants of the game were first divided into two groups and told the three hand gestures which depict a rabbit, a hunter, and a wall. While the hunter can kill the rabbit, the wall can block the hunter, and the rabbit can jump over the wall. When the coordinator of the game signals the start, the teams must adopt one of the three gestures. If one team picks rabbit and the other wall, the rabbit wins, while between the hunter and the wall, the wall wins. If both of the team decides to pick the same gesture, it is a tie and the game must start again. The team that gets the maximum point is declared the winner. This game is a good filler as well as an icebreaker.
Next activities were Tight Rope, Balancing Log, Spider Web, Balancing Bridge, Tarzan Jump, Low ropes and ended with Mud slide.
Tight Rope The objective of the game was to get your entire team from one object to another using only the balance beams. If the member of the team falls into the lagoon, then they will get wet and will start again.

Balancing Log This activity has the same objective with Tight rope and balancing wheel. They need to cross the log and avoid falling to the lagoon.

Balancing Bridge Like tight rope and balancing log, the members of the team must cross from one platform to another. This time, it was more difficult since the bridge moves.

Spider Web The objective of the game is to score points by passing everyone through the holes in a spider web without touching the web. This activity promotes cooperation and learn skills like teamwork, leadership, problem solving, trust and communication skills.

Low Ropes This activity designed to encourage problem solving, balance and communication. Team effort and support is the key to finish the task fast.

Tarzan Jump It offers the players the chance to take the big leap! A high-level challenge! This time many fell to the lagoon especially those who haven’t followed the instruction given. The secret to this tasks is to let your weight swing you to another platform. But it was indeed a good activity.

Mud Slide This was not part of the grading system but everyone is encouraged to try. First to try, the head of operation, Ms Annie Corales, our MOM followed by our Marketing Manager, Julie Velasquez. Of course Ms Shiela Reyes our CFO, also joined, and so on. Until everyone got wet.

Guess what happened after? Hahaha let’s just talk about it next time.
LAST DAY - HIZON LABORATORY PLANT TOUR
We let the new members of the family attended the plant tour. It has been more than a century since Hizon Laboratories, Inc. (HLI) first opened its doors, making it the very first pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the Philippines. Founded by Don Primo K. Hizon, this venerable institution was grounded even then in the front of knowledge and education for Mr. Hizon was a professor of chemistry at his alma mater who owned a drugstore, devoted much of his time and energies to research and often experimented with pharmaceutical preparations.

It was important that we have to know our manufacturer and appreciate the state-of-the-art facility of Hizon Laboratories, Inc.

While waiting for the participants of Hizon Lab Plant tour, we had our lunch at Tipolo Restaurant located in First Pacific Training Center, Antipolo.
